Paul Kitamura has over 35 years of experience in the hospitality industry and serves as Head, Asset Management for M&C REIT Management Limited, a Singapore based global hotel REIT comprising 20 properties including 1 retail mall throughout Singapore, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Maldives, UK, Germany & Italy. In this role, he is responsible for the overall performance and management of the portfolio as well as the REITs ESG efforts.
Earlier, Paul served as Senior Vice President of asset management for GIC Real Estate responsible for the fund’s Asia Pacific hospitality portfolio. During his tenure, he successfully drove fast-track cost efficiency initiatives preserving asset performance during the 2008 global down turn and led the successful re-branding of the 1,053-room Hilton Fukuoka Seahawk .
Paul’s direct operating experience includes leading IHG’s overall business in Japan as country head from 2002-2008. Prior, he worked for Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group in a variety of sales & marketing management roles at the corporate, regional and property levels.
His experience also includes data analytics and corporate real estate services management having been Managing Director, Asia Pacific for Revenue Management Solutions (a big data custom analytics consultancy for hospitality & retail) as well as Executive Director/VP for Goldman Sachs leading hospitality services across their Asia Pacific offices.
Paul holds an MBA from the Chicago Booth Graduate School of Business and a B.S. degree from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration.
